The merger announced in 2025 of North Arkansas College with the University of Arkansas System is now complete.
According to releases on the NorthArk Facebook Page, documentation was signed at 2:20 Monday afternoon which completes the merger and officially renames the school North Arkansas College of the University of Arkansas.
According to an interview last year on New Country 1029, North Ark President Dr. Rick Massengale said the merger would bring benefits for students and staff through the merger, including North Ark tuition levels being kept for students moving on to U of A to further their education. With the merger official, Massengale continues his leadership role at North Ark but now as a Chancellor in the U of A System.
