Law Enforcement officials are warning residents of a new scam that has surfaced in several Arkansas counties.
According to press releases posted by both the Boone County District Court and the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office Facebook pages, the scam involves fake notices claiming recipients have unpaid traffic violations. The messages urge victims to click a link to resolve the issue.
The Sheriff’s Office advises the public not to click the link and to block the number instead.
